I am a woodcarver in Japan. I have inherited traditional Japanese wood carving techniques. I create delicate and bold works.
I carve beautifully only with chisels, without using sandpaper.
There are three types of finishing techniques: no coloring, coloring, and lacquer. I do not use varnish. I mainly deal with carvings without coloring, but I also produce works with partial coloring or with coloring in which the grain of the wood is visible. We can also provide coloring using lacquer and gold leaf.
