Please note that different return and refund policies apply to chisels and wood carving art.

The Policy For Chisel

NOTES: EMS is fully compensated for loss or damage during shipping. International e-Packet covers up to JPY6000- for loss or damage during shipping.

We have a 3-day return policy. This means that you may request a return within 3 days of receiving the item. If the return is for customer convenience, the customer is responsible for shipping charges. If the item is defective or damaged (this is only for functional matters). External stains or scratches are not considered defective due to the nature of the product), or if it is confirmed that the wrong product was received, the return shipping costs will be borne by the store.

To be eligible for a return, the item must be in the same condition as it was received, unused or unworn, with tags attached, and in the original packaging. Receipt or proof of purchase is also required.

Items returned without a return request will not be accepted.

Damage and Problems
In the unlikely event that you receive a defective or damaged item, or the wrong item, please contact us immediately. However, due to the nature of the merchandise, returns due to exterior stains or scratches will not be accepted.


Exceptions/non-returnable items
Certain types of merchandise cannot be returned, including perishable items (e.g., food, flowers, plants), custom products (e.g., special order items, personalized items), and personal care products (e.g., beauty products). In addition, we cannot accept returns of hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. If you have questions or concerns about a particular item, please contact us.

Sale items and gift cards cannot be accepted for return.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get the item you want is to return your item and, if your return is accepted, purchase the new item separately.


Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will let you know if your refund has been approved or not. If approved, you will automatically receive your refund in the original payment method within 10 business days. It may take time for your bank or credit card company to process and post your refund.

The Policy For Woodcarvinng Art

This website accepts returns or exchanges of purchased products for your convenience. Please send us an e-mail (ask@mokuchotakaba.com) or contact form within 8 days of receiving the product. After your request, we will send you an e-mail with return shipping instructions, so please use that shipping method. Please note that we may not be able to provide refunds (e.g., for damage during shipping) if you use a shipping method other than the specified one.

In the case of a return for the customer’s convenience, such as if the customer feels that the product is different from the picture.

Returns will only be accepted within 8 days of receipt. Please notify us by e-mail or inquiry form.

In the case of a return for the customer’s convenience, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

We will inform you of the return shipping method after the procedure is completed via e-mail inquiry form.

Please note that we cannot accept returns using any shipping method other than the specified method.

In the case of a return for the customer’s convenience, we will not be able to refund the shipping fee for shipping from us. The refund will be the price paid minus the shipping cost.

If there is a defect in the product

In the unlikely event that the delivered product is defective or differs from the product ordered, we will promptly return or exchange the product at the customer’s request. Please contact us by e-mail (ask@mokuchotakaba.com) or contact form within 7 days of receiving the merchandise.

After the procedure is completed, we will provide you with information on how to return the product.

Conditions for non-return/exchange

  • If you do not request a return or exchange within 7 days of receiving the product
  • If the product is found to be damaged or stained.
  • If the product is missing tags or accessories.
  • If the product is returned by a method other than the specified method.
  • If the product was sold under special conditions, such as a non-returnable coupon
  • If the product page or campaign page states that the product is non-returnable.
