Description

This is the Ganesha created using Japanese wood carving techniques.
No sandpaper is used, as it is finished by the sharpness of the chisel. The surface is not coated with varnish, but rather the beautiful surface of the wood is left as it was chiseled with a sharp chisel.
The two back arms and items such as the axe are held in place with glue.
Normally, I use a traditional glue made from cows called “Nikawa” in Japan, but I use a regular wood glue because I do not think it is suitable for Ganesha, the Hindu god.
